State Basketball & My Birthday

My school's boys basketball team won state!! It was very exciting! From what I heard, this is the first time OHS Basketball has ever won state! I went to every game this week for the finals up at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake.

Me, Tanner, and Rachel on Monday

 Me and Kaylee on Wednesday

This is all the Orem students leaving the court after we won on Saturday. Right after the game some kids started running onto the court, and the police weren't stopping them or anything, so everyone started following them. The announcer was trying to tell everyone to stay in their seats, then said "What the heck. Go for it!"

My bus chose to go back to the school before the rest of the buses so that we could get home. :( It was still really cool though watching the buses arrive with a police escort! They were escorted by police all the way from exiting the freeway until they arrived at the school.

Everyone made a big tunnel for the players and coaches to run through to get into the school from the bus.

We had a party at the school afterwards with pizza for everybody and a LOT of celebrating!

My 18th birthday was Friday!! My family made the coolest cake for me that took them all day to make! I was at the state tournament, so I didn't see it until I cut into it that night!

The process...

This is definitely the sweetest frosting job I've ever seen!

My mom was out of town for Caroline's birthday, so she got a cake on my birthday.

Cutest cake ever or cutest cake ever? They even got the striped candles so it would look zebra!

I've never been good at blowing out candles. I blew out all but one this year. Eventually I'll get good at this.

My mom had me cut into the cake so I could see the exciting inside. I was confused when I cut in until she said that it was zebra. So this is me realizing what the stripes are for.

Caroline said that she's always wanted to put her face in the cake. So she did. Super cute, right?... ;)

My friends that came over that night! Me, Kaylee, Drew, Taft, Thomas, Evan, and Nicole

The Young Women's President Sister Cox put this in my lawn that morning! I didn't see it until after school because I had early morning seminary. It's so cute!
