The Past Forever Continued...

I was fortunate enough to get to participate in OHS' production of Thoroughly Modern Millie! At the end, a new girl runs onto the stage then runs off, so they let all the senior drama girls who weren't in the play take turns being the "new Millie"!

Are we cute or what? Fun fact: only Millie, Jimmy, Mrs. Meers, and the new Millie wear red in the show. So Hannah and I matched. :)

After the show that night I got asked to Prom! Tanner Mieure asked me, and I forgot to answer him for quite a while... oops.

Easter!
We're not very good at taking pictures...

This is from my first golf game! We played against provo. I did HORRIBLY. But I've gotten a lot better since then. And I like playing even if it goes really badly. It's very relaxing!

Over spring break, my family was in St. George and we got to go golfing with my Grandpa Lorin! It was awesome, he drove my cart, brought me my clubs... I'm not sure I'll be able to go back to high school golfing without my personal caddy!

We also went to a Three Dog Night concert in St. George! It was supposed to be at Tuacahn, but it got rained out, so it was at the Dixie Convention Center. I saw probably 10 other kids there. Everyone else was at least in their 40s. And those were the young ones. (The band members themselves were 70 or so)

These guys must take amazing care of their voices, because they sound just like they did back when their songs were recorded!

David got some gold cups! I wasn't there for the recital, but I'm sure it was awesome!

David's also had a BILLION* soccer games recently!

It freaks me out how old he looks in these pictures! He's supposed to be a little boy!

*May be an exaggeration

The Past Forever

Ok, so I haven't posted anything for a really long time... I guess I've just been busy. And I didn't put any of my pictures on the computer until today. So here's what's been going on!
(More to come soon, because my mom has pictures of things that I don't have)

Nicole and Taft and I hiked the Y! I love hiking, so it was awesome to get to go with my friends, because I never have anybody to hike with!

This is a picture of Alexa and Eric Davis at their wedding that I drew for AP Art.

I was going to submit this one to the Junior Duck Stamp Competition, but I don't know what kind of duck it is. But hey, I can still turn it in for my AP Portfolio!

I think my mom has a picture of the finished product... Caroline loves sculpting, so every winter she makes huge snow sculptures in our yard. This one was a dragon.

This is my friend Isaac Major. I went on a date with my friend Evan to see his concert at the Velour in Provo. Isaac's voice is AMAZING. Just watch the video. It's fantastic.

Is my brother cool or is my brother cool?

Yesterday and today my little brother David missed school to go up to Salt Lake and participate in the state chess tournament! A friend who has done the tournament before took him up. If you have ever seen the movie "Searching for Bobby Fischer", that's a little bit what the environment there was like. There was a huge room with about 40 matches going on. There is also a room with clocks to time the matches. David played in the big room the first day. On the second day all of his matches were in the smaller room. In the smaller room are the best kids. You compete against people in junior high. So David competed against 6th graders to 9th graders. There were more 8th graders than any other age group. David did super well (he even beat the kid who took third in 7th grade!)!!

And.......

DAVID GOT FIFTH PLACE!!!!! Can you believe that?! That's super impressive for his first tournament! David also qualified for a tournament that could qualify him for nationals if he does well enough at that! So cool!!!

David with his sweet trophy!

Me and Philip at mutual today

These youth at mutual are definitely my favorite people ever!! We have lots of good times. :) This week................

Chelsea was super excited to see me and started scolding me for an unknown reason (It's just what she does) and gave me a huge hug

Taven called Tanner and told him that he ate me for mutual

I made Jeremy smile

I found two new games to play with Philip- catch with the basketball and throw the water noodle at Shawn and Jake

Sarah had beautiful curled hair from sleeping in curlers and was very proud of it

The wheelchair lift on the Tiny Tots bus wasn't working so we had to manually lift it to get Taven on the bus

We formed a wheelchair club

Beth was excited to see me

Carl squashed a trash can by putting it in between his legs and using it as a drum

Philip acted like he wanted some frosting but then didn't. It took a while to clean up.

Taven has no idea how old he is

I gave Nathan a water noodle and he was super excited

State Basketball & My Birthday

My school's boys basketball team won state!! It was very exciting! From what I heard, this is the first time OHS Basketball has ever won state! I went to every game this week for the finals up at the Maverik Center in Salt Lake.

Me, Tanner, and Rachel on Monday

 Me and Kaylee on Wednesday

This is all the Orem students leaving the court after we won on Saturday. Right after the game some kids started running onto the court, and the police weren't stopping them or anything, so everyone started following them. The announcer was trying to tell everyone to stay in their seats, then said "What the heck. Go for it!"

My bus chose to go back to the school before the rest of the buses so that we could get home. :( It was still really cool though watching the buses arrive with a police escort! They were escorted by police all the way from exiting the freeway until they arrived at the school.

Everyone made a big tunnel for the players and coaches to run through to get into the school from the bus.

We had a party at the school afterwards with pizza for everybody and a LOT of celebrating!

My 18th birthday was Friday!! My family made the coolest cake for me that took them all day to make! I was at the state tournament, so I didn't see it until I cut into it that night!

The process...

This is definitely the sweetest frosting job I've ever seen!

My mom was out of town for Caroline's birthday, so she got a cake on my birthday.

Cutest cake ever or cutest cake ever? They even got the striped candles so it would look zebra!

I've never been good at blowing out candles. I blew out all but one this year. Eventually I'll get good at this.

My mom had me cut into the cake so I could see the exciting inside. I was confused when I cut in until she said that it was zebra. So this is me realizing what the stripes are for.

Caroline said that she's always wanted to put her face in the cake. So she did. Super cute, right?... ;)

My friends that came over that night! Me, Kaylee, Drew, Taft, Thomas, Evan, and Nicole

The Young Women's President Sister Cox put this in my lawn that morning! I didn't see it until after school because I had early morning seminary. It's so cute!

The Fat Teenager Inside

Yesterday I got some taquitos out of the freezer. Behind the taquitos was a box of chocolate ice cream bar things (no idea what they're actually called. Fudge bars? That sounds right.). And then I thought, "Hey. I like those things. I should eat one." So I pulled it out, unwrapped it, took two bites, and then realized that I didn't actually want to eat it. I hate when that happens. So of course I had to eat the whole thing cuz if I threw it away that would be wasting. I wandered around my house slowly eating it and wondering how this happened. It was then that I became aware of the fat teenager that is inside all of us whether we like it or not. No matter how fit or nice you are on the outside, there is always this evil fat little being telling you to be fat. Even though I really like spinach. It still tries to convince me. Anyway. The moral of the story is to beat up the fat teenager because it is evil. And always eat your spinach.
